Our Tenancy Services team is here to assist whānau with the first steps in getting into a whare.

From the very beginning of a tenancy, our team provides clear guidance, practical advice, and all the information whānau need to settle into their whare with confidence.

As well as sorting out tenancy agreements, we coordinate property maintenance, routine inspections and emergency repairs, ensuring homes are kept safe and well cared for. We ensure our tenants are up to date with their rent and our kaimahi are always available to answer questions, provide tenancy support and walk alongside whānau so they can focus on building strong, stable futures.

Yes, in most cases, you do need to be registered for housing with the Ministry of Social Development to be able to move into one of our whare. If you are not on the housing register and need emergency housing or support from Housing First, it is possible that you can be supported with a whare first and then added to the housing register. It is important that you are registered for housing to ensure you are eligible for Income-Related Rent.
