Whare Support
At He Herenga Kura, we know that a safe, secure home is the foundation for wellbeing and opportunity. That's why our Whare Support services are designed to wrap around whānau with the right support at every stage of your journey.
From tenancy services that ensure whānau are supported into and throughout their homes, to property management that keeps everything running smoothly, and property maintenance that ensures homes are safe, healthy and cared for - we provide a full spectrum of housing support.
Our goal is simple - to create stable, sustainable housing that enables whānau to thrive.

We're committed to building a brighter future for whānau
We don't just support whānau into homes - we help create them.
Alongside our Whare Support services, we take on building ventures that deliver new, quality homes designed to meet the needs of our communities. These projects are more than construction, they are an investment in stability, wellbeing and the future of whānau.
By building safe, warm and affordable homes, we strengthen the foundation for whānau to belong, grow and thrive for generations to come.

A MĀTOU MAHI
As a kaupapa Māori provider, we provide a Whānau Ora response to ending homelessness. We incorporate the tikanga principles of Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga, Rangatiratanga and Whakawhanaungatanga.
Connecting Whānau through whakapapa and linking them back to their Whānau, Hapu and Iwi is a key outcome for us.

Ratonga Whānau

Ratonga Whare
In addition to our commitment to expanding our social housing portfolio and improving living conditions, we also strive to provide service delivery through a Te Ao Māori lens. We recognise the importance of incorporating Māori values and perspectives into our work, and we aim to do so in a respectful and meaningful way. By doing this, we can better serve our community and make a positive impact on the lives of those we work with. For Māori by Māori.
