Joining He Herenga Kura

We're always looking for people who share our passion for supporting whānau and communities. 

Here is what you can expect when applying for a role with us:

  1. Apply online - send us your CV and a short cover letter telling us about why you're interested. 

  2. Acknowledgement - you'll get a confirmation email, and we'll usually be in touch within 2 weeks to advise you whether you have been shortlisted or not. 

  3. Shortlisting - shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview for the role.

  4.  Interview - this is the opportunity for shortlisted applicants to meet us (in person or online), share your experiences and ask us any questions you might have. 

  5. Outcome - we'll let you know the result and if you're successful, we'll be in touch about the next steps, including checking references.

  6. Your first day at He Herenga Kura - on your first day, you will receive a mihi whakatau from He Herenga Kura and undergo an induction process with our People and Culture Team.
