How to make a referral

If you or someone you know needs support with housing and social needs, He Herenga Kura is here to help.

You can make a referral in any of the following ways:

​

• Call us on 0800 AWHINA (0800 294 462) - our team is available to take your call and help connect you to the right service. 

​

• Visit us in person at Level 3, 40 Taranaki Street, Wellington. Our doors are open from 9.15am - 4pm Monday to Friday.

• Email us at referral@heherengakura.nz with your contact details and a short description of the support you are seeking.

When you come to meet with us, please bring with you:

 

• A form of photo identification (18+ card, Drivers Licence or Passport)

• Proof of Income 

• Bank account details

• Any relevant supporting documents (such as a notice to vacate, tenancy information or letters from MSD or any other agencies).

Our friendly kaimahi will talk with you about your situation, explain the services available and walk alongside you to find the right support for you and your whānau.
